1994: The Journey Started Even Earlier... 

✍️ Back in 1994, I was working behind the scenes in a computer operations center, wearing a shirt and tie, surrounded by an IBM 4381 mainframe and blinking monitors. I had already been immersed in that world for five years by this time, learning the rhythms of mission-critical systems. I had no idea those early lessons in systems thinking and reliability would one day fuel a mission to help others thrive in the digital world. 

2002: The Journey Continued... 

✍️ Back in 2002, you could find me coding late nights in this very cubicle, back when CRT monitors were the norm and you had to install software from a stack of CDs and DVDs.
I didn’t know it yet, but the tools I was learning here would become the foundation for everything I teach today.
Even then, I sensed that AI and web technologies would eventually reshape everything we do, and I knew I wanted to be part of helping others navigate that change.

Always Learning...

Before I was teaching AI and web strategy, I was geeking out over ASP.NET and SQL Server developer conferences, like this photo from 2004, armed with a badge, a swag bag, and three pens, just in case. 😄
Even though the work was serious, I learned not to take myself too seriously, and that attitude has stuck with me through every tech shift since.

Over the years, I’ve kept up with technology by attending programming and innovation conferences, workshops, and trainings every single year. If I earned a degree for each year of ongoing education since college, I’d be carrying the equivalent of six master’s degrees by now (but I prefer wearing it in lived experience and client results).

By 2008, I was ready to take everything I had learned, across development, systems, and leadership, and put it into my own venture. That’s when I founded Zareco, Inc., a digital consulting and web strategy company built to help others succeed online.

Starting as a side hustle, with just a vision and a small office space, I began hosting companies, building websites, and quietly supporting leaders and entrepreneurs across the country. They called me "the website whisperer." 

It wasn’t about going big fast, it was about building the right foundation. And Zareco became the launching pad for everything that followed.
